Keeping the screws on your park bench tight is a common challenge, but with the right techniques, you can ensure they stay secure for years. The constant exposure to weather, vibration, and use causes screws to gradually work loose. Here are the most effective solutions. First, always start with the correct hardware. Use corrosion-resistant screws like stainless steel or coated deck screws designed for outdoor use. When assembling or repairing, ensure screws are driven into solid wood, not cracked or rotted material. For existing loose screws, remove them completely.
