Our benches are far more than just places to sit; they are active contributors to a cooler, more comfortable urban environment. We directly combat the heat island effect through integrated design. Many of our models feature built-in evaporative cooling systems. These use a small, efficient water reservoir to release a fine mist around the seating area, lowering the immediate ambient temperature through evaporation—a natural and energy-efficient process.
Furthermore, we select materials with high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) values for surfaces. These materials reflect a significant portion of solar radiation rather than absorbing it as heat, preventing the bench itself from becoming a heat source. This is complemented by strategic placement within green corridors and the use of permeable bases that allow rainwater to nourish the soil, reducing surface runoff and promoting natural ground cooling.
The design often incorporates open structures and light colors to enhance airflow and reflectivity. By providing shaded, cool spots in paved areas, our benches create micro-climates of relief. This reduces the reliance on energy-intensive air conditioning for nearby buildings and makes public spaces usable even on hot days. Ultimately, each bench serves as a node in a larger urban cooling network, making cities more resilient and livable.
