It's a thoughtful question we're proud to answer. When our benches reach the end of their service life, they don't simply become waste; they begin a new chapter in our commitment to sustainability.
For benches designed with disassembly in mind, we operate a dedicated take-back program. Customers can contact us to arrange collection. At our processing facility, the bench is carefully broken down into its core materials. High-quality steel and aluminum components are sent to metal recyclers, where they are melted and reformed into new products. Untreated, solid wood elements are often repurposed into smaller items or chipped for landscaping mulch or biofuel. We strive to keep materials in a continuous loop.
For benches that cannot be returned, we provide detailed guidance for responsible local disposal. We recommend separating metal parts, which are widely recyclable, from other materials. Composite materials or treated woods require specific handling, and we advise checking with local municipal recycling centers for the best options to divert them from landfill.
Our design philosophy is evolving to enhance this cycle. We are increasingly using mono-materials, simplified joinery, and clearly marked components to make future recycling even more efficient. Choosing our benches means investing in a product whose end-of-life is planned for minimal environmental impact, supporting a true circular economy for urban furniture.
