Common Problems and Effective Solutions for urban benches

I have a narrow sidewalk—what’s the smallest footprint of a street bench you offer?

I hear you—when your sidewalk is tight, every inch matters. The smallest footprint street bench we offer is our Mini Urban Bench, with a footprint of just 18 inches deep by 30 inches wide. That’s about the size of a standard kitchen chair, but built for real outdoor durability.

Even smaller? Our SlimLine Pedestal Bench cuts the depth to 15 inches, perfect for a flush-against-wall installation. No legs sticking out to trip pedestrians. It’s essentially a seat that hugs the building line, leaving the rest of the sidewalk clear.

Both models weigh under 40 pounds, so you can move them easily for seasonal flexibility. And here’s the trick—they aren’t just narrow; they’re modular. You can place two side-by-side for a longer bench without increasing the depth at all.

Material-wise, we use powder-coated steel and recycled polyethylene, so they won’t rust or rot even in narrow, high-moisture alleyways. The seat surface is slatted to let rainwater drain straight through.

If your sidewalk is between 3 and 4 feet wide, either option will work without blocking access for wheelchairs or strollers. Just measure your clearance and let me know—I can send you a free footprint template to test fit before you buy.
