To give you a clear answer: all of our outdoor benches are made locally, right here in the United States. We do not import any finished benches from overseas. Here’s what that means for you in practical terms:
First, lead time. Because our benches are fabricated in our own workshop and we source lumber and metal from domestic suppliers, we typically hold a 4- to 6-week lead time for standard designs. If you need a rush order, we can often expedite to 2-3 weeks for in-stock materials. Compare that to imported benches—those often come with shipping delays of 8-12 weeks, plus potential customs holds. Our local production lets us start building as soon as your order is confirmed.
Second, customization. When benches are made locally, I can walk over to the production floor and tweak the design for you. Want a longer seat, a different stain color, or a specific mounting system? We can do that without waiting for overseas container shipments. For imported benches, you’re usually stuck with whatever finish and size the supplier has in the container.
Third, quality and sustainability. Local production means we personally inspect every weld and every cut. We use sustainably harvested American hardwoods and recycled steel. If a bench arrives with a scratch (rare, but possible), we can replace it within days—not months. Imported benches, on the other hand, might look good in photos but often show rust, wobbly legs, or chemical stains after one season.
So, does local vs. imported affect lead time? Absolutely. Imported adding 6-8 weeks of sea freight + customs + trucking, while local means we can ship a bench to you in 2-6 weeks depending on the design. Honestly, for most commercial projects, the shorter lead time alone makes local sourcing the smarter choice.
