Absolutely, we do offer urban benches with integrated solar panels designed specifically for charging phones and other small electronic devices. These are part of our smart city furniture line, and they’ve become quite popular in parks, transit hubs, and pedestrian zones.
Here’s how they work: The bench has a solar panel built into the top surface—usually made of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon—that collects sunlight during the day. That energy is stored in an internal battery, and on the side or armrest of the bench, you’ll find USB ports (often both USB-A and USB-C) and sometimes wireless charging pads. Most models can charge multiple devices at once, even in overcast conditions, thanks to the battery reserve that stores power for nighttime or cloudy days.
Specifically, our current lineup includes the “SunConnect” series. For example, the SunConnect Urban Pro model features a sleek, powder-coated aluminum frame with a hardwood or recycled plastic slat seating surface. It has two USB ports per side and a 30W wireless charging pad. The solar panel provides about 20W of charging capacity, and the internal battery can hold enough charge for up to 50 phone charges on a full battery. The bench itself is weatherproof, with an IP65 rating, and comes with optional LED lighting that activates at dusk.
Installation is straightforward—no need for trenching or electrical wiring, since the system is fully off-grid. We do recommend placing the bench in a location with direct sunlight for at least 4-6 hours a day for optimal performance. We also provide a monitoring system so you can track battery status and usage remotely.
If you’re looking for a more compact or artistic design, we have the SunConnect Urban Curve, which has a curved silhouette and includes a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot in addition to the charging capabilities.
So yes, we definitely have urban charging benches—and we can customize the color, seating material, and even add branding if needed. Would you like me to send you a spec sheet or a quote for a project you’re working on?
