Great question! The short answer is: we offer both. You don’t have to choose between portability and permanence. In fact, most of our park benches are designed to be adaptable to your specific needs.
For fixed installations, we have a wide range of heavy-duty metal and timber benches that are designed to be bolted into concrete or set into the ground. These are ideal for permanent parks, public squares, and trails where you want maximum durability and security. They are theft-resistant and built to withstand harsh weather and high traffic for decades.
But yes, we absolutely sell port-a-benches—or what we technically call “removable” or “portable” park benches. These are fully functional benches that are engineered to be moved easily. They often come with a lighter overall frame, sometimes with pre-drilled holes for optional temporary anchoring (so they stay put during a windy day but can be relocated for events). Some of our most popular portable models feature:
- A maximum weight that allows two people to lift and reposition them.
- Options for fold-away frames, so you can store them during the off-season.
- A durable powder-coated finish that resists scratches from moving.
- Interlocking feet or base plates that can be weighted down with sandbags or pavers for temporary stability.
These port-a-benches are especially popular for:
- Public event spaces where seating needs to be reconfigured weekly.
- Temporary pop-up parks or farmers’ markets.
- School campuses and corporate campuses where furniture is rotated between indoor and outdoor use.
- Parks that want the option to remove benches during special events or maintenance periods.
One tricky thing to watch out for: some suppliers only sell lightweight “plastic” benches that look cheap and blow over. Ours are built from commercial-grade steel or heavy aluminum, so they have the same “feel” and longevity as a fixed bench, just with the portability option.
So bottom line—if you need a bench that stays put forever, we’ve got you. If you need a bench that can move with you, we’ve got that too. Just let us know your location and usage pattern, and I can recommend the best model for you.
