So you’ve got a nice outdoor bench and a solid concrete patio, driveway, or slab. You’re wondering: *Can I just bolt it straight down, or do I really need to rip up the concrete and pour a new foundation?*
The short answer is yes, you can absolutely bolt an outdoor bench directly onto an existing concrete surface—as long as the concrete is in good condition and you use the right hardware. No need to pour a new foundation unless your slab is cracked, crumbling, or too thin (less than about 4 inches thick).

1. Choose the Right Anchors
