When selecting urban benches for public spaces, the finish on the metal components is crucial for both aesthetics and longevity. We primarily offer three types of high-performance finishes to suit various environmental conditions and design preferences.
Our most popular option is a durable powder coating. This finish involves applying a dry powder electrostatically and then curing it under heat to form a hard, protective layer. It provides exceptional resistance to chipping, scratching, and fading from UV exposure. Available in a vast spectrum of colors, including standard blacks, grays, and browns, as well as custom RAL shades, powder coating allows for seamless integration into any urban landscape design.
For maximum corrosion protection, especially in coastal areas or regions using road salt, we offer hot-dip galvanized steel. This process involves immersing the steel parts in molten zinc, creating a metallurgical bond that acts as a sacrificial barrier against rust. The result is a characteristic spangled, silver-gray finish that is incredibly long-lasting with minimal maintenance.
On our aluminum components, we often utilize anodizing. This electrochemical process thickens the metal's natural oxide layer, creating an extremely hard, integral surface that is resistant to corrosion and wear. Anodized finishes can be clear, to preserve the natural metallic look of aluminum, or colored with excellent color stability.
Each finish is selected to ensure our benches withstand heavy use and harsh weather, maintaining their appearance and structural integrity for years to come.
