Yes — and we’re glad you asked, because street furniture theft is more common than most people expect. Our street benches include anti-theft features as standard, with extra security options available for high-risk locations.
Every bench is assembled with tamper-resistant security bolts instead of standard hex screws. That means someone can’t simply unbolt the slats or frame with a regular multitool. For mounting, we offer in-ground anchor kits with galvanized steel brackets and heavy-duty expansion bolts that secure the legs into concrete. If drilling isn’t an option, we can supply weighted base plates that make the bench extremely awkward to lift and move.
For added protection, we also offer a stainless steel cable lock kit. It runs through the frame and around a fixed object like a post or tree, which is a strong visual deterrent and a physical barrier. The bench won’t be impossible to steal — no outdoor furniture is — but these features force a thief to spend time, make noise, and carry special tools, which is usually enough to stop casual theft.
We can also add tamper-proof caps over exposed fixings and use one-way screws in high-risk areas. If you tell us where the benches will be installed — a park, streetscape, campus, or transit stop — we’ll recommend the right security package. In short: yes, our street benches are built to stay put.
