That said, whether you choose professional installation or go the DIY route really depends on your site, comfort level, and how permanent you need the bench to be.
For smaller residential setups — like a garden bench on a flat patio or a simple park-style bench on grass — many customers do handle it themselves. Most of our benches ship with clear instructions and the basic hardware needed. If you have a drill, a level, and an extra pair of hands, you can typically get it done in under an hour.
But when it comes to street benches, commercial projects, or anything going into public space, we usually recommend professional installation. There are a few reasons for that. First, safety and liability. A bench in a public area needs to be securely anchored, often into concrete footings or paving. If it’s not done right, it can shift, wobble, or become a hazard. Second, many municipalities and property managers have specific code requirements for anchoring, spacing, and accessibility. Our install team knows how to work with those.
