Common Problems and Effective Solutions for urban benches

Do you offer warranties on the labor for installing a street bench?

Good question. Yes, we do offer a labor warranty on street bench installations, and it is already included in our standard installation scope for municipal, campus, and commercial projects. Our standard labor warranty runs for two years from the date of final installation. If a bench becomes loose, shifts out of alignment, develops an anchoring problem, or otherwise fails because of our workmanship, we will return and correct it at no charge for the labor. The bench materials, powder coating, hardware, and any decorative elements are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, which typically ranges from one to five years depending on the product line and finish. For outdoor benches and other site furniture, the labor warranty specifically covers the quality of the installation itself: anchor placement, concrete footing stability, fastener torque, alignment, and proper clearances. It does not cover damage caused by vehicles, vandalism, graffiti, attempted theft, extreme weather events, ground settling beyond normal tolerances, or changes made by another contractor after our work is complete. If a claim is needed, email us photos of the issue and the bench location. We will review the site notes and send a crew or a field supervisor to assess it, usually within five to seven business days for non-emergency requests. For emergency situations like a loose bench in a public plaza or school zone, we prioritize those calls and aim to respond within 24 to 48 hours. We also provide a written labor warranty certificate when required for bid packages, municipal contracts, or permit files. If your specification requires a longer labor warranty, such as three or five years, we can usually accommodate that during the quoting phase. It is important to keep the installation records and any site inspection reports because that documentation helps confirm the original conditions and speeds up the claim review. If you are planning a streetscape project, ask your project manager to include the exact labor warranty term in the proposal so everyone has clear expectations before the first bench is installed.
