Common Problems and Effective Solutions for urban benches

Do you offer eco-friendly urban benches made from recycled plastic or reclaimed wood?

Yes, we do. I’m happy to walk you through exactly what we offer. We provide eco-friendly urban benches made from recycled plastic and reclaimed wood, designed for parks, streetscapes, campuses, transit stops, and commercial plazas.

Our recycled plastic benches are built mainly from post-consumer HDPE—think milk jugs, detergent bottles, and other plastics diverted from landfills. The color runs through the material, so scratches and graffiti are less visible. These benches won’t warp, rot, or attract insects, and they never need painting or sealing. A simple pressure wash usually keeps them looking new.

Our reclaimed wood benches are made from salvaged timber, often sourced from old barns, warehouses, shipping pallets, and decommissioned buildings. We dry, plane, and treat the wood with low-VOC, weather-resistant finishes. You get a warm, natural look without sacrificing durability. Because it’s reclaimed, every bench has unique grain patterns, nail marks, and color variation.

Both options can be customized. Choose bench length, backrest or backless design, armrests, mounting style—surface mount, in-ground, or freestanding—and frame finish. We also offer recycled steel or aluminum frames on select models if you want a mixed-material look. If you need a specific recycled content percentage, we can provide documentation.

Recycled plastic is usually the better choice if your priority is low maintenance and high weather resistance. Reclaimed wood is ideal if you want a more traditional aesthetic with a sustainability story. Many clients mix the two: recycled plastic slats on a reclaimed wood frame, or the reverse.

All our eco-friendly benches ship with recycled packaging, and we can provide LEED documentation if your project is targeting green building certification. Lead time is normally 3–5 weeks for standard sizes; custom orders may take a little longer.

If you have a site plan, budget range, or specific design in mind, let me know. I’d be glad to recommend a few models and send samples or case studies.
