Yes, absolutely — our urban benches can be ordered with a powder-coated finish in custom Pantone colors. In fact, custom color matching is one of the most common requests we get from landscape architects, municipal planners, and commercial design teams.
We start with a steel or aluminum bench frame and apply a durable powder coat. If you provide a Pantone reference, our finishing team matches it using a weather-resistant polyester or super-durable polyester powder. For coastal projects, high-UV areas, or busy public spaces, we usually recommend a super-durable powder coat with UV-stable pigments to reduce fading, chalking, and corrosion over time.
The process is straightforward. You send us the Pantone number, the finish level you want — matte, satin, gloss, or fine texture — and the bench substrate. We then produce a small sample panel for your approval before coating full production. Once approved, the bench components are pretreated, powder coated, and oven-cured to create a tough, even finish that bonds to the metal.
There are a few practical notes. Powder coating is different from wet paint, so some extremely bright fluorescent Pantone shades may not translate perfectly into powder. In those cases we can offer the closest powder-coated alternative or discuss a liquid topcoat. Metallic and pearlescent Pantone colors are usually possible, but they may require a two-coat process. Our team will always confirm feasibility before you commit.
For urban benches, we recommend a minimum dry film thickness of 60 to 80 microns, and we can go heavier in high-traffic or coastal environments. The finished coating is tested for adhesion, impact resistance, salt spray performance, and UV stability so it holds up to weather, cleaning, and daily use.
Custom Pantone powder coating does add a little lead time. Typically you should allow two to three weeks for sample approval and four to six weeks for production, depending on order size. If the color is already in our library or matches a previous project, lead times can be shorter.
So the short answer is yes: our urban benches are available with custom Pantone powder-coated finishes, and we can guide you through color matching, sample approval, and production. If you share your Pantone number, we will prepare a finish sample and recommend the best powder system for your location and bench style.
