Great question—and the short answer is yes, our outdoor benches come with a powder-coated finish as standard. You do not need to select it as an extra option or pay an added fee for the core protective coating. We treat a quality powder-coated finish as a baseline requirement because outdoor benches have to survive sun, rain, snow, and daily use without peeling or rusting.
Here’s how it works. On every standard metal bench frame, we apply a multi-stage pretreatment and then bake on the powder-coated finish. This creates a hard, even layer that bonds tightly to the metal. The result is a weather-resistant bench surface that resists chipping, scratching, corrosion, and UV fading far better than traditional wet paint. The standard powder-coated finish is included in the listed price for all of our regular color options, including matte black, bronze, white, and gray.
What can be an extra option? Custom color matching. If you need a very specific shade for a commercial project, HOA community, or personal design scheme, we can produce a custom powder-coated finish for an additional charge. The process is the same, but it requires a dedicated production run and extra preparation, which is why it is priced separately.
We also offer an optional galvanized base layer on select heavy-duty outdoor benches. This upgrade is designed for coastal areas, humid climates, or locations where the bench will be exposed to salty air or frequent moisture. It is not required, and the standard powder-coated finish already provides strong all-weather protection, but it is available if you want an extra level of defense.
So, if you are shopping our standard colors, the powder-coated finish is already included—no hidden add-on. The only time you would pay more is for a custom powder-coated color or an optional galvanized undercoat. If you are unsure about a specific model, check the “Frame Finish” section on the product page or contact our support team. We can confirm exactly what comes standard before you place your order.
