Great question — yes, they do. Our outdoor benches are built with a non-slip surface on the seat as a standard safety feature. We apply a subtle textured finish to the seat area rather than leaving it perfectly smooth. That texture gives you enough grip to prevent slipping when the bench is damp from rain, dew, or pool water.
The finish varies slightly by material. On metal benches, we use a fine powder-coated texture. On wood and composite models, the seat has a light anti-slip treatment that still feels natural and comfortable. It’s not rough like sandpaper, so you can sit comfortably, but it does provide dependable friction in wet or humid weather.
If you choose a cushioned outdoor bench, the cushion cover also has a slip-resistant base to stop it from sliding around on the frame. This is especially useful on patios and pool decks where surfaces can get slick.
For daily care, mild soap and water are all you need. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or strong chemical cleaners, because they can wear down the non-slip texture over time. If you are placing benches in a commercial or high-moisture area, we can recommend a heavier-duty finish — just reach out to us before ordering.
