Thanks for the question. For our ADA compliant park benches, the standard seat height is 18 inches from the ground to the top of the seat, which falls within the ADA bench seat height range of 17 to 19 inches. That range helps people with mobility challenges sit down and stand up more safely, especially when transferring from a wheelchair or walker.
We also offer accessible park bench models with armrests, backrests, and a comfortable seat depth, so the benches work well in parks, school campuses, medical facilities, and trail rest areas. For commercial projects, our outdoor ADA bench options can be configured with surface-mounted or in-ground mounting, recycled plastic or metal slats, and black or galvanized frames.
Along with seat height, it helps to check the clear ground space around the bench and make sure the surface is stable and level. We usually recommend at least 30 by 48 inches of adjacent clear space so a wheelchair user can transfer or park beside the bench. If you share the site conditions and the quantity you need, I can recommend a couple of models and send over the full specifications.
