Yes, we do sell replacement slats for many park benches, and in most cases you won’t need to buy a whole new bench. If the frame is still solid—no major rust, cracks, or rot—replacing just the slats is the cheaper and faster fix.
Before ordering, measure the length, width, and thickness of an existing slat, plus the center-to-center hole spacing for the mounting bolts. If the old slats are too far gone to measure, measure the frame openings instead. Common replacement materials include cedar, hardwood, treated pine, and recycled plastic lumber. Recycled plastic is great for wet climates because it won’t rot or splinter, while wood gives a classic look but needs occasional sealing.
If your bench is a standard commercial model, replacement slats are often available off the shelf. If it’s an unusual size or a custom build, we can usually help with custom-cut options or point you to the original manufacturer. You generally only need a whole new bench if the frame itself is bent, heavily rusted, cracked through, or unsafe.
For installation, use stainless steel or coated hardware, pre-drill the holes, and leave a small gap between slats for drainage and wood expansion. That helps your new slats last much longer.
If you’re not sure what fits, send us a photo or a few measurements, and we’ll help you identify the right replacement slats before you spend money on a brand-new bench.
