Great question—yes, we do sell street benches with chessboards on the armrests. These are one of our favorite niche products because they turn a simple seating area into a small social hub.
We usually call them chessboard armrest benches or game-top benches. The top of each armrest has a printed or laser-cut chess/checkerboard panel, so people can sit sideways, place a piece, and play without needing a separate table. The board is designed to be weather-resistant and easy to clean.
We offer a few different styles:
- Powder-coated steel frame with a metal chessboard armrest
- Recycled plastic slats with molded chessboard armrests
- Hardwood slat benches with stainless steel chessboard panels
These are popular for parks, schoolyards, community centers, senior living courtyards, libraries, and even residential gardens. Because they are installed outdoors, we build them with rust-resistant hardware and UV-stable finishes. The chessboard graphics won’t rub off like a sticker—they are either engraved, screen-printed with ceramic ink, or applied as a high-pressure laminate depending on the material.
If you have a specific site in mind, I’d recommend thinking about mounting: surface mount, in-ground mount, or freestanding. We also do custom armrest chessboard panels if you want a logo, a checkerboard on the other side, or a different color scheme.
Sizes typically match our standard 6-foot and 8-foot benches, but we can quote custom lengths for larger projects. Lead time is usually 2–4 weeks for stock models and 5–7 weeks for custom builds. We ship nationally and can work with your installer if needed.
So the short answer is yes—we absolutely sell those. If you want, tell me the quantity and your zip code, and I can send over pricing, finish samples, and a spec sheet.
