I usually tell customers to plan for about 30 to 45 minutes per bench on site after unboxing and clearing the area. Our standard 4-foot and 6-foot park benches arrive with pre-drilled seat slats, labeled hardware packs, and partially assembled frames, so two people can typically finish in 20 to 30 minutes when the ground is already level. If you're installing a heavier commercial park bench with cast iron legs, backrest brackets, or surface-mount flanges, expect closer to 45 to 60 minutes because you'll spend extra time aligning the frame, leveling the feet, and anchoring it securely. Working alone or dealing with uneven turf usually adds another 10 to 15 minutes. I always recommend having a rubber mallet, ratchet set, and level ready before you start. For the first bench, leave a little extra time for learning—most crews are noticeably faster on the second and third units.
