Honestly, if you want the cheapest park bench we carry that still looks clean and holds up for a few years, I’d go with our 4-foot recycled plastic park bench on a powder-coated steel frame. It normally runs about $189–$229, which is the lowest price point where I don’t feel like I’m selling someone a bench they’ll regret.
The seat slats are made from recycled plastic, so they won’t splinter, rot, or need painting, and the steel frame resists rust well enough for normal outdoor use. It has a simple traditional look that works in a yard, garden, park, or at a trailhead. Assembly takes about 20–30 minutes, and you only need basic tools. It’s not a luxury bench, but it looks presentable and handles sun, rain, and temperature changes better than the cheaper flat-packed metal benches we sometimes carry.
If your budget is absolutely lower, we occasionally offer a basic all-metal bench closer to $149, but it feels lighter, scratches more easily, and I wouldn’t expect the same long-term appearance. For the best mix of cheap, decent-looking, and durable performance, the recycled plastic model is the one I’d recommend.
