For unparalleled, worry-free longevity, Teak reigns supreme. Its high natural oil and rubber content make it incredibly resistant to rot, insects, and water damage. A teak bench will gracefully silver to a beautiful patina and can last 50+ years with minimal care. Western Red Cedar is a superb North American option. Its natural tannins repel decay and insects.
