That's an excellent and very practical question! The short answer is yes, our park benches are designed with future flexibility in mind. We understand that community needs evolve, events require different setups, and landscapes change. Therefore, a key feature of our benches is their relocatability.
The ease of relocation primarily depends on the installation method you initially choose. For maximum flexibility, we recommend using surface-mounting with anchor bolts set into concrete footings, rather than embedding the entire bench leg in concrete. This allows you to simply unbolt the bench from its footing and move it to a new location, where you can attach it to a new pre-poured footing. For our lighter-weight models or temporary installations, some clients successfully use heavy-duty ground anchors or even free-standing placement.
The benches themselves are built to withstand this process. They are constructed from robust, weather-resistant materials like powder-coated steel or durable hardwood, ensuring they won't be damaged during a careful move. The modular design of many of our series means you can also reconfigure seating arrangements—splitting a long bench into smaller units or combining them.
While the bench moving itself is straightforward, planning is key. Consider the new site's foundation needs and accessibility. We're always here to provide guidance on the best installation and relocation strategy for your specific project. Investing in relocatable benches today saves significant time and cost tomorrow, giving you the freedom to adapt your public spaces effortlessly.
