That's an excellent question, and one we're proud to answer! The recycled content in our metal urban benches isn't just a minor feature—it's the very foundation of our commitment to sustainability. On average, the aluminum alloy used in our bench frames consists of 85% to 95% post-consumer recycled content. This means the material comes from everyday items like used beverage cans, end-of-life vehicles, and former building components, diverted from landfills and given a new, long-lasting purpose.
This high percentage is achieved through a closed-loop process. We source certified recycled aluminum, which is then melted and reformed using efficient methods that require only about 5% of the energy needed to produce new primary aluminum. This drastically reduces the carbon footprint of each bench. The remaining small percentage of virgin material is added to ensure the structural integrity and corrosion resistance required for heavy-duty, all-weather public seating.
Choosing our benches means directly supporting a circular economy. You're not just installing street furniture; you're actively participating in resource conservation and waste reduction. The result is a bench that is incredibly durable, low-maintenance, and carries a tangible environmental story—perfect for cities, parks, and campuses aiming to demonstrate genuine eco-friendly leadership. The sleek, modern design proves that responsible manufacturing and beautiful, functional urban design go hand in hand.
