That's an excellent question! We design our benches to be true all-weather companions, so they absolutely hold up in both scorching summers and harsh winters. The secret lies in our material selection and construction. For our metal benches, we use powder-coated aluminum or galvanized steel, which resists rust and won't warp or crack under temperature swings. Our high-density polyethylene (HDPE) lumber is UV-stabilized to prevent fading and cracking in intense sun, and it won't absorb moisture that can freeze and split the material. For solid wood benches, we use naturally resilient species like teak or cedar, treated with protective oils. While all materials will experience natural expansion and contraction, our designs accommodate this movement. A simple annual check and cleaning are usually all that's needed to ensure your bench looks great and performs reliably for years, no matter what the forecast brings.
How do your benches hold up in extreme heat or freezing winters?
