Great question! It's one of the most common ones we hear, and I'm happy to clear things up.
For the majority of our standard park bench models, a powder-coated finish is indeed included as part of the base price—not an upgrade. We believe that powder coating is essential for ensuring the longevity and durability of outdoor furniture, especially in public spaces exposed to sun, rain, snow, and humidity. So, unless otherwise noted, you can expect a high-quality powder-coated finish straight out of the box.
However, there are a few exceptions. Some of our budget-friendly or contractor-grade models may come with a simple painted or galvanized finish to keep costs down. In those cases, upgrading to a powder-coated finish is available for an additional charge. We recommend this upgrade if the bench will be placed in coastal areas or highly corrosive environments, as powder coating provides superior resistance to chipping, fading, and rust.
Additionally, if you're looking for custom colors beyond our standard palette (like black, dark green, or bronze), that might be considered an upgradable option. But again, for most of our stock benches, the powder coating is already baked into the price.
I'd suggest checking the specific product page for any bench you're considering—each listing clearly states whether the finish is standard or optional. And if you're ever unsure, just ask our support team. We’ll help you find the right finish for your specific climate and usage needs.
