For our classic cast iron and heavy-duty steel benches—the traditional park bench style and the modern slatted designs—each leg assembly typically has two pre-cast or pre-drilled holes. These are sized to accept standard M10 or M12 anchor bolts, which makes floor-mounting on concrete, paving slabs, or a prepared foundation really straightforward. The holes are located on flat, flanged feet so the bolt heads sit flush or can be capped for a clean, anti-tamper finish. If you flip the bench legs over before installation, you’ll see them right away; no extra metalwork or drilling on your end is needed.
There are a couple of exceptions worth knowing about. A few of our lightweight, portable slatted benches designed for temporary seating or roof terraces do have the pre-drilled holes, but they might be deliberately plugged with small plastic caps. You just pop those out when you’re ready to anchor. Also, if you order a fully bespoke timber bench with a non-standard leg profile, the holes may not be present by default, but we can add them on request—just drop a note in your order comments or shoot us an email.

Ideally, you mark the hole positions onto your surface, drill into the concrete with a masonry bit, and then drop in expanding anchor bolts or chemical anchors through the bench feet.
