Great question—and we’re glad you asked before buying. No, a properly finished urban bench should not fade after one summer. Our standard outdoor benches carry a 5-year limited warranty on the finish against fading, chalking, and peeling under normal use. We use a TGIC polyester powder coat cured at high heat, which is much more UV-stable than wet paint or cheap enamel. In full sun, you may see very slight gloss softening after several years, but not a bleached-out look in a single season. To keep it looking sharp, rinse the bench and wipe with mild soap twice a year. Avoid harsh solvents and keep pressure washers at least 12 inches away. If you ever notice premature fade or adhesion loss, contact us with photos and the batch number—we’ll repair or replace the bench under the finish warranty.
What's the warranty on the finish of your urban benches—will it fade after one summer?
