Yes, we offer both styles, and the choice really depends on how you plan to use the bench. Many of our outdoor benches come with armrests because they provide extra support for people who need help sitting down or standing up. That said, we also carry open-side and armrest-free benches that are designed with wheelchair access in mind. An open-side bench allows a wheelchair user to sit at the end or transfer onto the bench without a fixed armrest blocking the way.
If accessibility is a priority, I usually recommend choosing a bench with at least one open side or a model without armrests at the ends. This makes it easier for someone using a wheelchair or mobility aid to position themselves comfortably next to the bench. In public parks, trails, transit stops, and community spaces, combining both styles can work well: a few benches with armrests for older adults or people with limited mobility, and several open-side benches for wheelchair users and families with strollers.
For accessible outdoor seating, open-side benches are often the safest and most inclusive option because they do not create barriers at the ends. We also offer models with a center armrest and open ends, which can give people a bit of separation while keeping the sides accessible. If you are not sure which configuration works for a specific project, think about who will use the space most often. For high-traffic public areas, open-side benches are usually the better choice. For private gardens or patios where comfort is the main goal, armrest benches may feel more relaxed.
I hope that helps. If you tell me the location and the type of visitors you expect, I can suggest a few specific bench styles that balance comfort, durability, and wheelchair accessibility.
