Great question — this is one of the first things we hear from parks departments, schools, HOAs, and property managers. For public-use park benches, we offer a tiered limited warranty because different materials have different expected lifespans. All of our commercial outdoor furniture built for public spaces follows this same warranty framework.
Here is what our standard park bench warranty coverage looks like:
- Steel and aluminum bench frames: 10-year limited warranty against structural failure, cracking, or manufacturing defects.
- Powder coat and paint finishes: 3-year warranty against blistering, peeling, or abnormal fading under normal outdoor exposure.
- Wood slats: 5-year warranty against rot, splitting, or warping beyond normal weathering.
- Recycled plastic slats: 12-year limited warranty against cracking, splintering, or significant color fade.
- Hardware and fasteners: 5-year warranty against corrosion or breakage under normal use.
Our park bench warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship during normal public use. It does not cover vandalism, graffiti, intentional damage, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or damage from extreme weather events and natural disasters. Normal surface wear, minor scratches, and the natural weathering of wood are also excluded.
If a bench fails due to a covered defect, we will repair or replace the affected component at no charge. For public projects, we also recommend tamper-resistant hardware and proper surface mounting or in-ground installation, because improper anchoring is one of the most common reasons a warranty claim gets denied.
If you need a written outdoor furniture warranty document for a bid package or procurement file, just let us know and we can send the full terms.
