Great question — and I’ll save you a trip to the hardware store: every outdoor bench we ship arrives with all the assembly hardware included in the box. You do not need to buy bolts separately, and in most cases the package also includes washers, nuts, and the basic tool needed to put the bench together.
When you open the box, you’ll typically find a sealed hardware pack or small box. Inside, there should be:
- All structural bolts matched to the bench frame
- Flat washers and lock washers where applicable
- Hex nuts or barrel nuts depending on the design
- A hex key or small wrench if required
- A printed parts checklist and assembly guide
Before you start, I recommend matching the hardware to the parts list in the manual. Lay everything out on a soft surface so you can see the pieces clearly. If a bolt rolls under packing material, it’s easy to assume it’s missing when it’s actually still tucked in the cardboard. If you do find something missing or damaged, reach out to our support team with your order number and a photo of the manual’s parts page — we’ll ship replacements quickly.
A few quick assembly tips: keep all bolts loose when you first connect the frame, then go back and tighten them evenly once everything is aligned. This prevents wobbly legs and misaligned holes. Hand-tighten first, then use the included tool for final tightening. Avoid using a power drill on a high torque setting, because it can strip the bolt heads or damage the finish.
So to answer directly: yes, outdoor benches arrive with all the hardware included. No separate bolts needed before assembly. As long as you keep the hardware pack and manual together, you should be able to go from unboxing to finished bench in about 20–40 minutes depending on the model.
