I ask about practical constraints: local weather conditions, expected foot traffic, and maintenance requirements. This helps us select materials—like powder-coated steel for durability or reclaimed wood for a natural look. Then, my team creates initial sketches and 3D renderings, incorporating the client’s aesthetic while ensuring structural integrity. We discuss ergonomics too, because a bench must be comfortable as well as artistic. After approval, we prototype a small-scale model or a section, allowing the client to feel the textures and proportions. Once finalized, our fabricators handcraft the bench with attention to every weld and finish. Throughout, I keep communication open, adjusting designs based on site measurements or budget shifts. Finally, we handle installation, ensuring the bench anchors properly for safety and longevity.
