Great question—this is one of the first things landscape architects and facility managers ask us, and honestly, it’s smart to check before you spec a bench for a streetscape or plaza.
On our standard padded urban benches, the cushions carry a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. The bench frame is covered separately for 5 years. The cushion warranty applies to manufacturing defects, not everyday public-space wear. So if a seam splits because of poor stitching, the foam collapses abnormally, or a zipper or cushion attachment fails under normal use, we’ll repair or replace the cushion at no charge.
What’s not covered: normal UV fading and weather staining, cuts, burns, graffiti, vandalism, pressure washing damage, or issues caused by unapproved cleaning chemicals. Those aren’t defects—they’re part of life outdoors. We also don’t cover normal foam compression over time, though our high-density foam is selected to resist that for years.
If you want longer coverage, we offer upgraded cushion packages for high-traffic municipal and commercial projects. For example, using marine-grade vinyl with UV inhibitors and stainless steel hardware lets us extend the cushion warranty to 3 or 4 years depending on the project location and volume. In custom contracts, we can go up to 5 years when the bench is under a maintenance plan.
To make a claim, just email us a few photos of the issue, the order number or project name, and the delivery date. We’ll review it and usually ship a replacement cushion or send a repair kit within a couple of weeks. We keep replacement fabric and foam in stock for most active product lines, which makes warranty service faster.
So the short answer: 2 years standard on cushions, longer optional, and the warranty is only as useful as the team behind it. If you tell us where the bench will be installed and how heavily it will be used, we’ll recommend the right cushion spec—and the right coverage—before you buy.
